Refilling is one of the simplest ways to cut down on single-use plastic and keep the bottles and dispensers you already own in use for longer.
At Plastic Free Refills, our refill range focuses on 5L bulk refills for everyday cleaning, laundry, washing-up, hair and body care products, with UK-wide delivery as well as local delivery and collection around Horsham.
Better still, Miniml 5L containers are returnable. Once empty, suitable containers can be sent back to Miniml to be professionally cleaned and used again.
Want to refill in person in Horsham?
This page explains how our 5L home-refill service works. At our Horsham market stall, the process is different: bring your own clean, suitable bottle or container and refill the amount you need directly from the stall.
You do not need to buy a 5L container to refill with us in person.

1. Choose your 5L refill
Browse our range of 5L Miniml refills, including everyday cleaning, laundry, washing-up, hair care and body care products.
Buying in larger refill sizes gives you a convenient supply of products you use regularly while reducing the need to repeatedly buy smaller containers.
2. Reuse the bottles you already have
There is no need to replace perfectly good bottles. Keep your existing washing-up liquid, hand wash, shampoo, conditioner, laundry or cleaning bottles and simply refill them when they run low.
Using the same bottle again and again is one of the easiest ways to reduce unnecessary packaging at home.
3. Refill straight from your 5L container
When your everyday bottle is running low, carefully top it up from your 5L refill container.
For easier dispensing, we also sell a 30ml pump for compatible Miniml 5L containers. It can make regular refilling cleaner and easier, particularly for thicker products such as shampoo, conditioner, hand wash and washing-up liquid.
4. Return your empty Miniml 5L containers
When your Miniml container is empty, do not throw it away. Miniml operates a return scheme so suitable 5L containers can be cleaned and put back into use.
Save 4 empty Miniml 5L containers, then follow Miniml's current return process:
- Complete Miniml's online returns request form.
- Upload a photo showing the containers you want to return.
- Miniml checks that the containers are suitable for reuse.
- Once approved, Miniml provides an Evri Locker QR code for the return.
- Pack the empty containers securely and take the parcel to an Evri Locker.
The returned containers go back to Miniml, where they are professionally cleaned before being put back into circulation.
Refill, return, reuse
The refill container itself does not have to become single-use packaging. You can refill the smaller bottles around your home from your 5L container, then return your empty Miniml containers once you have collected four.
That helps keep the same packaging in circulation for longer: refill, return and reuse rather than use once and throw away.
Why choose 5L refills?
- Reduce the number of smaller single-use bottles you buy
- Reuse bottles and dispensers you already own
- Keep everyday household essentials stocked at home
- Reduce packaging compared with repeatedly buying smaller bottles
- Save money per refill on many everyday products
- Return suitable Miniml 5L containers for cleaning and reuse
You do not need to change everything at once. Start with something you use regularly, such as washing-up liquid, laundry liquid, hand wash or shampoo, and refill it instead of replacing the bottle.
